當眾多爵士傳奇人物逐漸成為遙遠的記憶，你是不是也感嘆，幾時可以再見諸如法蘭克辛納屈Frank Sinatra、艾靈頓公爵Duke Ellington、約翰柯川John Coltrane等等大師的風範？ 我們都以為樂手需要歲月的沈澱，才能唱得出爵士真正的精神，然而，我們卻在Peter Cincotti的身上，看見了宛如爵士奇蹟的展現！初聽他的歌聲，你以為來到了五○年代的爵士小酒館；這才發現，這位近似Frank Sinatra與Harry Connick Jr.的爵士男聲，竟來自一個甫滿19歲的大男孩！而事實上，彼得在7歲那年，因病錯失康尼克的現場演出；但大他3歲的姊姊特別將他的錄音帶送至後台，康尼克聽完後驚為天人，特別邀請Peter與其同台，就此打開了Peter Cincotti的爵士演出生涯。

生長在曼哈頓，就讀紐約哥倫比亞大學的Peter，因為3歲時祖母送的生日禮物—一架玩具鋼琴，自此就沈醉在琴鍵之間的魅力；隨著年紀的增長，更奠定自己成為爵士樂手的志向。9歲的Peter開始嘗試作曲，十多歲時正式開始歌唱，並向艾利斯‧馬沙利斯Ellis Marsalis、詹姆斯威廉斯James Williams、克里夫科曼Cliff Korman等多位大師級人物師法鋼琴。18歲推出第一張專輯，年紀輕輕的他，曾在約翰藍儂詞曲創作大賞以及2000年的瑞士蒙投音樂節(Montreux Jazz Festival)獲獎，並曾應邀至白宮表演，已然成為爵士新生代中的頂尖人物。
